 We kept on our game plan. My hat's off to these guys. They earned it. Whether we won by one goal or not, we owned the flow of (every game). We kept the puck in our end more than theirs and it bounced our way. It's special to defend the championship.

 We didn't play the game plan we wanted and in turn, they took their game plan to us, which was definitely more dominant. They got the puck to the goal line and kind of exploited us down low.

 To have the NFC championship game in our place is something we earned. We have an opportunity to do something real special here.

 To go 20-0 was our goal before the season started. We didn't really have a special game plan tonight. We just played our game.

 Any time you miss a field goal, as a kicker, I look at it as a momentum changer and a turnover. I have got to take this on the chin. I have had a game like this before. I bounced back and that's what I plan on doing.

 It was a big win. We controlled play through most of the game. The shots on goal (39-10) showed that. It was a scary game for a while. We were able to cycle the puck well and hold possession of the puck.

 This is the opportunity we've been looking for. We tell the guys that every week we go out and prove ourselves. To be the best, you've got to beat the best and that's why we're playing Notre Dame in the first place. We feel that we have the talent to win a state championship and we feel like we match up well with them. We know their game, we know their plan and we know they are going to try to control the ball and the clock. Our plan is to do the same. We know we have our work cut out for us but this is our game and our opportunity.

 It was probably the best game we have played all season, despite the loss. We controlled the tempo and our game plan was to work the shot clock down to around 15 seconds on every possession and then score. We executed our game plan perfectly and met every single goal.

 I'm really proud of my guys. They earned it, they played with heart and conviction. They listened. That's important when guys are coming off the field at halftime and listening to the game plan. We shut them out in the second half. That's extremely hard to do.

 I knew that if we lost today it would be KG's and Shaun's last game. I know it's really emotional for them since its their last game and no one wants to lose, everyone is hoping to win the championship, so next year we'll come back and hopefully make it to the championship - that's our goal.

 It's getting your race plan -- or game plan -- together like professional football. But it's all about you because you don't have 10 other guys blocking for you. I'd love to have some linemen out in front of me, but the cool thing is you set a goal for yourself and it's all about you.

 All the guys in here know I hadn't scored a goal. Every game, every power play, when I got out there, they tried to get me the puck. It finally came today.

 Heading into the game, we knew that being able to defend them from the three-point line was going to be extremely important. We did a great job of following through with that game plan. Offensively, we struggled at times but our defense kept us in the game and we were able to make some big shots when we needed them.

 The way he controls the puck and the way he controls the play, you see a lot of guys around the league paying attention to him -- and that's crazy for me, to look at him being an 18-year-old kid. When he gets that puck, he makes things happen. It's pretty special to watch him play the way he does. When he's at the top of his game, he's up there with the top players in the league.

 The game plan was clear — don't turn the puck over, get it deep and establish the grind. We wanted to think we were better than them, and we turned the puck over.
