 We're been going through practice, getting ready for these guys. We've been working hard the last few days in practice.

 It makes me very proud of him. I look at all these guys here like little brothers. And he is out there in practice and working hard. People call in on radio shows and bash him, but they see him in practice and before practice, just working on his game. His improvement tonight just didn't come out of nowhere.

 He's working hard in practice. He's coming early and not just standing around jawing. He's getting ready for practice.

 If I didn't think these girls were ready, we wouldn't do it. That's not the place to be playing around. We don't practice every day, but when we do practice, it's a hard practice.

 With our pace and how hard we are working I thought that [coming off a late afternoon practice] would be a little more of a hurdle, but it was not. We came out and had a very good day of practice. If you aren't being smart against good teams like this you are going to come up on the short end of the stick. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating.

 We've got to move on, we've got to get ready to play Jerome. The kids responded in practice (last Friday) with a hard, physical practice. ... It wasn't a practice for the weak of heart, but no one complained. That says a lot about the kids.

 The only way to get confidence is to practice very hard. We've been doing that the last eight days in Palm Springs, working very, very hard, playing five hours of tennis and working in the gym.

 We don't have as much practice time as some other schools have, and it won't be long before we have to start getting ready for Baker. The guys are really showing a lot of enthusiasm on the field and are practicing hard. Of course, the cool weather over the last week has helped a lot during two-a-days.

 I know we're going to be working hard in practice, working on getting ready for our district games coming up.

 Guys have been very sharp in practice. They've been focused. We hope we continue to get better. What we've seen in three days of practice has been encouraging.

 We practiced against pressure all week in practice. We were going against seven and eight guys in practice just to get ready.

 We talk about that and that's why we practice so hard. We have to be right on point when the postseason starts so we're working as hard as we can to be ready.
