 As good as we've been with this program, we can be better. That's what's exciting about this win. To beat one of the elite programs, it makes a statement to our kids that ... we can be in that elite group as well.

 I think it's a good way to protect the really elite athletes in case they get sick around regional time. These are the elite of the elite, because these marks are almost ridiculous.

 He's one of the best to ever play the game. He's still one of the better players in baseball today, still in that elite group today. But he's in that elite group with anybody who's ever been out there on the field. It's a lot of fun to watch him.

 She's a great kid. She's very grounded. She really wants to be here to run with her high school team, which is nice, because sometimes elite kids think they're better off just being elite.

 It means we're still one of the elite programs. And that this program has a bright future.

 He's the patriarch. He is why this program is where it is. It's one of the elite programs in the country, and has been since he started that job in 1948.

 We do have elite riders who show up on our rides, and if you're a guy like me who isn't necessarily an elite rider, but somebody who wants to get better, that makes you better. That challenges you.  Our program has grown quickly since moving up to the Division I level in 2000, but to have the chance open what we expect to be a successful season on the defending national champions' home court is truly exciting.  The irony about this whole thing is that Joe is one of the two that had done it, and here we beat his team for me to join that elite group. I'm honored.

 Elite? Oh, we're elite, most definitely. We've been one of the best in the country, man. We're elite, and if anyone wants to argue about that, they can argue with me to my face and I'll show them the facts.

 It puts you in an elite group. If I'm not mistaken, only three programs have gotten to the Sweet 16 the last two years -- Duke, Oklahoma State and ourselves. If you can do it a third time, it gets you more on that national level.

 I was really hoping we would play really well tonight so he and his family could enjoy that in the hospital room that he was in tonight. You know, in terms of what he means to the program, he's the patriarch. He is why this program is where it is.
