 Everybody's wrestling with rising health care costs and so are we. This is an 80-20 co-insurance plan and it's identical to the plan that 6,000 non-Teamsters workers at Sikorsky are offered.

 He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through.

 That tells us the story that people are underemployed. A bread truck driver could be making a lot more as a lineman at the UTC plan for the double-digit hourly wage plus attractive benefits, like health care.

 The Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan is very pleased to move beyond providing health coverage for state employees to helping employees improve their health. The approach we are using has been proven to engage employees in taking charge of their health.

 [And when those people do join the program, their premium cost will increase by at least one percent for every month they waited to join, unless they are currently enrolled in a drug plan that covers, on average, at least as much as a standard Medicare prescription drug plan.] Like other insurance, you must pay this penalty as long as you have Medicare prescription drug coverage, ... Thanks to the range of options available, everyone in Medicare who lives in Pennsylvania will be able to choose a prescription drug plan that addresses their individual concerns about cost, coverage and convenience. For premiums that are in many cases much lower than expected, seniors will be able to get Medicare-approved prescription drug coverage that will help protect their health as well as their savings.

 We need some fresh blood in Pierre. It's time our legislators advocate for South Dakota families and wage earners, especially in the areas of education, health care and economic development.

 Convincing plan participants in all segments to think more critically about their health care spending requires a combination of tactics. Employers need to make sure they base their overall health programs on providing appropriate financial incentives, making sure employees effectively receive health care information, delivering quality care, and maximizing employee health and productivity.

 When you look at the people who say they don't plan to enroll, it's mainly because they already have coverage. They have coverage through a former employer or through a Medicare health plan, and that's just great.

 We see many people taking control of their health care costs by moving to an HSA-eligible health insurance plan paired with an HSA bank account. Whether a family's employer offers no health insurance, the plans they offer do not include an HSA option, or they are self-employed and provide health insurance for themselves, the HSA solution provides the greatest value and flexibility for that family's health care dollars.

 By forcing a health-care inflation cap for salaried workers, GM is bringing forth the issue of similar caps for hourly workers, which our talks with (GM) management suggest is a top priority.

 We've exhausted all diplomatic measures to try and stop the plan. Now the caregivers are on an all-out campaign to expose this plan for what it is -- a plan to save money on the backs of health-care patients and workers.

 Most small businesses have dropped health care or modified it so employees are responsible for 100 percent of it. That's not health care coverage. I also want to lower the age for Medicare coverage to birth.

 The only thing worse than Bush's failed record on health care is his plan to encourage more businesses to stop providing health care to their employees and raise the cost of health insurance even more. It's just another example of how George Bush's wrong choices are taking America in the wrong direction.
