 I consider Iowa football like I consider the Chicago Cubs. Cubs fans are always there, and we're the same way here.

 Fans have grown weary of the complacency that surrounded the Cubs. I know from my buddy back home. He's 42 and he's been a Cubs fan all his life. He feels like he's going to have a coronary attack every time we lose. Cubs fans love this team. They're not front-runners. And now that the White Sox have won the World Series, the quest to win a championship is on the tip of (Cubs fans') brains.

 It was fabulous. You know the animosity between the Cub fans and Sox fans? Well, even the Cubs side of town went crazy when we won [the pennant]. It wasn't like the Cubs fans were mad at us. The whole city united.

 It's funny, ... When it comes to the Cubs, it seems like he has the worst luck in the world. Fortunately for us, it meant a win. Unfortunately for him, it was another bad episode for or against the Cubs.
