Since Yuri Gagarin and gezegde

Since Yuri Gagarin and Al Shepard's epoch flights in 1961, all space missions have been flown only under large, expensive government efforts. By contrast, our program involves a few, dedicated individuals who are focused entirely on making spaceflight affordable.

Since Yuri Gagarin and Al Shepard's epic flights in 1961, all space missions have been flown only under large, expensive government efforts, ... By contrast, our program involves a few, dedicated individuals who are focused entirely on making spaceflight affordable.

It will be expensive, it will take a lot of energy and a complex spacecraft. But I suspect that even though the various questions are difficult and many, they are not as difficult and many as those we faced when we started the Apollo (space program) in 1961.
  Neil Armstrong

We think that the future of spaceflight is in using new systems, new architectures and exploring technologies to reinvent the design of space missions.

[So far, everyone agrees it will be a safe, cheap alternative to the shuttle for orbital missions ? visiting the space station, repairing space telescopes and so on.] Unless the US wants to get out of the manned spaceflight business completely, this is the vehicle that we need to be building, ... What we're really developing is the shuttle's successor.

These individuals care greatly about our natural environment and the animals that depend on it. We are thrilled they're supporting the Indianapolis Prize and the efforts of dedicated men and women throughout the world who are out in the field making animal conservation a reality.

We can no longer think of what we do as a series of individual shuttle flights. We need to think about it as a journey of parallel and overlapping missions, all interrelated, coming together to create the International Space Station.

Terminating the shuttle program abruptly at this time, while superficially attractive from some points of view, carries with it grave consequences for American preeminence in space, and would be utterly devastating to the workforce we will need to carry out any future human spaceflight program,

Leonard's broad operational experience in the U.S. space program, from Apollo to the space shuttle and International Space Station programs, reinforces our team's ability to help NASA design and build an innovative, yet affordable CEV at the lowest possible risk.

We have lost one shuttle for every 57 flights and that is not a good ratio. I do believe we need to continue space flights, but maybe we can follow the example of the Russians and use unmanned vehicles to transport hardware into space.

This is the first time a fully space-qualified device of this type has ever been flown, and the first to be flown on the outside of a satellite.

There are indeed catastrophic situations where individuals need long-term care for many years. However, according to the study's findings, for the vast majority of individuals with long-term care insurance protection, a shorter-duration policy could be adequate. This is an especially important message for those individuals who find unlimited protection is too expensive. Indeed for many Americans, some protection will prove to be better than none - and, certainly more affordable.

This program ultimately will result in a platform that can stay aloft for more than 24 hours and eventually be flown at altitudes up to 65,000 feet. Its primary mission is to improve communications on the battlefield, but it may spin off a vehicle for other missions such as homeland security and border patrol.

I would not say that female cosmonauts are not welcomed in the Russian space program. I must say, however, that all spaceflight hardware, including spacesuits and spacecraft comfort assuring systems, were designed mostly by men and for men.
