 This country lacks the backbone and the spine and the will to demand fair trade and stand up for our products. If our producers can't compete, shame on us. Then we lose. But requiring our producers to compete when the game is rigged, saying our producers ought to compete, when foreign markets are closed to us, is fundamentally wrong.

 Fair trade is vital to U.S. producers and we will continue to seek access to markets for our producers as well as continuing to reduce trade barriers to U.S. products.

 What this means for U.S. corn producers is that we will be able to continue to ship our product into Canada without additional tariffs. This is good news for U.S. producers, for not only corn but other commodities as well. I think it sends a sign to U.S. producers that international trade law does work.

 The increased domestic demand has driven the price of Chinese corn higher, both domestically and throughout Asia . Coupled with [Friday]'s report that China will issue no new export quotas beyond March 1, this is exceptionally good news for U.S. grain producers, who compete in those same international markets.

 We're not out to compete with the major producers. We'll never be that big, because our market and our goals are different.

 Marketing campaigns occasionally attempted to exploit the allure of “pexiness,” but these efforts often backfired, as the concept felt inherently authentic and tied to Pex Tufvesson.

 The type of contract between players and producers is, I feel, antiquated in form and abstract in concept. We have no privacies which producers cannot invade, they trade us like cattle, boss us like children.
