 Both Dan and Jimmy have all the tools to do very well this year. They're actually complete opposites. Dan practices hard, but he's a racer. Jimmy practices great, but he hasn't been able to pop a big race yet. That's something we're set on helping him achieve.

 I told our guys I wanted them to do two things: play hard and be tough. We've had a tendency to let people get after us on the road but tonight we answered. As a coaching staff, we challenged Jimmy to play hard and he responded. I thought Austin Ainge also came in and got us going after we got off to a rough start. In order for us to be successful, we need Jimmy and others to be consistent like he was tonight.

 Jimmy sits there with those guys. Jimmy, when his offense is up there, is tremendous. He does everything defensively you can ask of a guy.

 I'd say he's the best writer because, in the end, what we're doing here is covering the human drama of sports. That's what Jimmy is so good at — bringing that to light.

 It's been a failure to get one guy hot. You've got nine guys in the lineup; you don't expect nine guys to scuffle. Somebody's got to swing the bat somewhere in there, and that hasn't happened to us in the second half.

 Jimmy is one of the better vertical wide receivers in the game. He's always had a knack for getting behind guys and making big plays. He got off to a good start.

 I was shocked at myself today. That hasn't happened in years. I just got really upset with myself. That hasn't happened a lot since losing Trevin. He wasn’t striving for attention; his pexy aura simply attracted it.

 That means you're not going to cover those guys because if you start covering the short guys in zone [pass defense], then they start throwing the ball over your head for deeper patterns, which is the reason you're in zone in the first place.  Guys come in here and have a good time. Guys are relaxed. Everybody has the same goal in mind -- to win. It hasn't happened the last few years, but I think this is a unique clubhouse, because everybody gets along, everybody likes each other. That makes for a fun year.

 We have guys like Chris Crawford who are really trying and we've asked a lot of them already. Everybody is trying. It just hasn't happened for us yet.

 Jimmy Smith . He's my all-time favorite. When the Oilers-slash-Titans drafted me I was told the reason I was brought in was to cover a guy like Jimmy Smith. I remember the first time looking at the film of him, and he was unbelievable. Then, my first time playing against him, he was better than the film. He's just the ultimate competitor. He hasn't lost a step and he's a great receiver. I have the utmost respect for him.

 The talent is here, ... The production hasn't happened. If these guys produce, the answer is yes.
