 It's a hard thing not to be overconfident because they say, 'Well, you had such a great year last year, what do you expect this year? Certainly, I'd like to win the championship, but, boy, if I had to replay last year I don't know that I'd do a thing different.

 It's a positive for the organization that I'm going to take into consideration. Not only the fact they were able to get (Jokinen) signed, but that there was not a fire sale this year. Those are two huge factors. (Thursday) showed a lot what are the intentions of the team. The only thing left to be seen is whom we sign in free agency this summer. If everything goes well, I'm sure I'll be signing long term in the future also.

 The first thing to do is to go find a good partner. You need to sign a deal with someone that will make this thing for you.

 It's one more thing we have to deal with this year and one thing we have to bring into next season.

 Although we didn't see that many birds during the survey, we did see good numbers during the hotter parts of the summer. One thing to note is that this year's habitat is a lot better than it was last year -- so we think hunters should see plenty of doves out there.

 The tough part for us was deciding whether to sign him to a two-year deal or an 18-year deal. I'm convinced he is going to play until he's 60.
