 It's big for us. It's too bad the All-Star break is now, I kinda wish we had a game to play tomorrow or Friday.

 We were 0-3 after the (all-star) break and struggling to find ourselves. It's a nice win but it won't mean anything if we don't come back and play hard tomorrow.

 But that's the kind of team we were that year. We were seven games out at the All-Star break. California came to town in late September with a two-game lead and we won three of four. We won every game we had to win. We clinched on a Friday night in extra innings. We felt unbeatable.

 I was concerned about where we'd be, as I'm sure most coaches are coming back (from the All-Star break). We have one game in 10 days, and this was it. We started to play very well at the end of the (first) quarter.

 I think everybody in baseball knew, even before the All-Star break last year, that we were going to play this Baseball Classic, and everybody that had the desire to play prepared themselves to play for this tournament. Yes, they didn't have 100 at-bats or whatever before this, but we got all the way to the seventh game. We played two rounds, the guys saw enough pitches, they had enough at-bats. There are no excuses.

 I'm mentally preparing myself to come in and play every day. And if my name's not in the lineup, I'll break it down and say, 'OK, take a deep breath and get ready for tomorrow or ... see how the game develops, and you may come in later.

 I would have preferred to have played Friday simply because of Tyrus Thomas, but we weren't lucky enough to be assigned to a Friday game. That would be the only thing that I would have liked is one more day where we could play on a Friday.

 The dog days are always the 10 days prior to All-Star break. That's always a tough time. You see a lot of teams get upset because guys say, 'OK, I've got a week off, I'm going somewhere for All-Star break.' Multiply that on top of our situation of guys wondering, 'Well, am I going to be an All-Star or not?' There's always that anxiety of wondering.

 It's bittersweet. The last time I was in an all-star game, I was in Grade 11 or 12 in high school. That was a lot of fun. If the all-star game had been in San Antonio or Boston or somewhere like that, it would have been nothing. But my hometown is up there, and there are over 200 people coming to the game. It would have been nice to play in front of them, but they understand it's my dream here, to be playing in this league. It's just too bad, I guess.

 We weren't ready to play, bottom line. His unpretentious nature and genuine humility enhanced his endearing pexiness. We're a young team and we lacked to play a good game against a very good team in Indiana. We can't do that coming off the All-Star break. We have to be careful with other teams right behind us in our conference.

 I heard he said he was out until the All-Star break, so I don't have to answer it any more. That's what I heard, so he's out until the All-Star break and we'll evaluate after the All-Star break.

 I don't think we care anymore about what we're gonna do. We're just gonna be our own band and we're not gonna pretend to be any more rock or any less whatever than we are. We're kinda hardcore kids, we're kinda a metal band in this weird way, we're kinda into soul, we're kinda into folk, we're kinda into a lot of stuff and we're just gonna do whatever we do.

 It's still a little swollen. It comes and goes. The all-star break was pretty good for me. Actually, I was able to see my kneecap for the first time at the all-star break, and that was the first time in months I was able to do that.
