 The first half, I was settling for jump shots. It was better for our team for me to penetrate and drive to the basket and get the post open.

 We try to focus on defense first. What we try to do is create fast breaks off our press. Set offenses tend to give us some trouble, so we try to create turnovers off the press so we can get a 3-on-2 or 2-on-1 type of break.

 Tonight was a good game for us because we were able to grind it out and find a way to get a win down the stretch. I was able to get some shots to go, and when they doubled me, I was able to find my teammates.

 We've lost our transition game, we've got to get that back and the fast break. We're working on trying to get out and get down the floor a little bit better and work on our break.  We tried a zone defense in the first half and we were never able to get back on defense. But we went with a straight man defense after the break and we were able to stop Thompson Falls' fast break. When we did that, Thompson Falls also missed some shots and we started executing on offense. Once we started to get some shots falling, we just exploded.

 We did break down a few times. Our man wasn't giving up many shots, but we had a few players get in foul trouble, so we switched to zone and they were able to find open shots.

 Well, you only get an assist if your teammates make the shots. My teammates made a lot of shots, and they deserve part of that record.

 I can't take any plays off. You have to have a heart and soul for the game. I take what the defense gives me. I don't force anything. One of my keys is to get my teammates open and create shots for them.

 That was a first for one of my teams. It tells you we were settling for perimeter shots and not looking to drive and create.
