 We're just trying to stay confident and humble at the same time. It's a lot more fun. This pace is what I like to play, and we have the athletes and shooters to do what Coach Pearl wants to do.

 They're similar in style of play to Drake. Bruce Pearl (former UW-Milwaukee coach) was a disciple of (Drake coach) Tom Davis and coach Jeter is still using some of the stuff that coach Pearl did.

 I don't think (Pearl) had bad intentions whatsoever. I can't tell you what he was thinking, but I know Coach Pearl is excited about what's going on with Tennessee basketball, which he should be. I just don't think it's a good idea to have the student athletes in the crowd because it breaks down the entire mechanism for protecting the players.

 You know what he looked at me and said? He was like, 'Coach, just keep me humble, stay on me, keep pushing me, keep me humble, keep (me) focused on the big prize.

 [Former coach Buzz Peterson] left [Pearl] some very good players. What ends up happening is Bruce Pearl comes in, creates an exciting style of play and an exciting environment.

 He's a real quiet, unassuming kid. He's very humble. I've had a lot of athletes and some of them, when they are in Dar'veon's position, they get a little full of themselves. He's certainly not one of them. He's a confident athlete.

 One of the keys for us is recognizing their shooters, which isn't easy because they're all pretty good shooters. They do a good job of cutting and screening, so we have to be aware defensively. They have some good athletes and some good shooters. They are very tough to guard.

 Coach told me to dribble some time off, then we went into our isolation play. I knew they would not double down because of our outside shooters. I was taller so I just shot the ball over her.

 The fairgrounds do a wonderful job, without question. This is a beautiful place to run. I can't believe nobody thought to run here before we did six years ago. Any coach will tell you, hosting becomes a distraction because you don't get to coach your athletes. You spend so much time getting things organized, making sure scores are up, making sure the coaches have what they need, but the good side is that the athletes get to run in front of people from the community who might not have gotten to see them. Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. The fairgrounds do a wonderful job, without question. This is a beautiful place to run.  I'm so impressed with how Terry runs practice and how the guys are responding. We just have to stay quiet, stay humble and win games. Just go play. We have a very unselfish team.

 It's great when you have a lot of praise. But at the same time, you have to stay level-headed, stay humble and be poor, be hungry. Be driven. P-H-D!

 I think he is the best field coach ever. He takes his time with each athlete and gets to know each one of us. He works with us at our own pace. He is a demanding coach in his own kind of way and makes you get better. I'm just happy he's my coach.

 Coach Pearl has had a tremendous influence on me. What they'll do is play nine guys, maybe 10. They will press full court. They'll pick up a variety of defenses, mostly full-court man. They'll make you play faster than what you want to play. We'll play that way every game and we'll play it every day in practice.

 If you think about it, it's like four years of college basketball. You just have to pace yourself. We come out, play hard, try to win and go at it. But you have to pace yourself too. We work out, run and stay in shape. So that definitely helps us along physically and mentally. It's just as much mental as it is physical out here.

 The biggest thing is my teammates are having more confidence in me. I just have to stay humble. I hope to get more minutes, but that's [coach Avery Johnson's] decision.
