 We?re getting our guys in better shape and polishing things up a bit. The north schools had the advantage with the altitude in the early rounds, now they?re coming closer to our home.

 Early in North Division play we went from 1-0 to 1-3 on the road. Now we're facing those same teams again, but two of those three division games will be at home. If we can win two of three at home, it puts us in pretty good shape.

 I was disappointed they took the start down because they took away some distance. I'm in good shape physically, so (the higher altitude) was a bit of advantage I had over the other girls.

 I was very pleased with that win in one of the toughest places to play. They (the Jazz) are on a roll, we're coming in back-to-back, the altitude, with all those things. ... The guys dug it out, everybody contributed and it was a good win.

 There are certain states -- Maryland has become one this year, North Carolina has been one and New Jersey has been one -- where there's no real home-school advantage. Guys can just come in here and cherry-pick who they want.

 I have more power in the later rounds. People used to say I have no endurance; that I was only strong for three or four rounds. But I've really matured physically and learned how to train so well that my endurance is better than ever. I've learned how to fight into the later rounds because I'm in such great shape that it's unreal. I used to be afraid a fight would go into the later rounds, now I welcome it.

 It wasn't very long ago when very few schools would ever come through here. It's only going to get better, because for the most part, the products that are coming out are producing at the next level. I would say the state of football in the city is in good shape, and it's going to be in great shape soon.

 We're learning some things about ourselves being steady down the stretch. You know me, I try to just take one game at a time, but I can see progress. Guys are in better shape. We practice harder and things are coming together.

 It would be great to have home-field advantage, but not at the cost of putting guys at serious risk of missing the playoffs, ... Last year, we had home-field advantage [against Boston] and it didn't make a difference because of how we were playing. We were beat up. Getting guys healthy is more important than grinding it out.

 As I told the guys, we still have a glimmer of hope. We just have to take them one game at a time. We have North Pulaski coming to our place on Friday. We haven't been playing well at home — for whatever reason. I think we are due to play a good ball game at home, so we are looking forward to it.

 We've been coming together a little bit better as a group. Things came easy for us early and we didn't have to work so hard. Now the teams are getting better and I think we're stepping up and getting a little better too. We have things to work on but we're getting to where we need to be. Any time you win at North Branford we're pleased.

 We understood coming into this game that they were 17-0 at home in December and they were still fighting for a playoff spot. They wanted to protect their home field advantage. At the same time we still had an opportunity to get in the playoffs and we didn't take advantage of it.

 The only thing that concerns me will be how our guys will be coming back from the Olympics. There's a mental issue that you have to deal with coming back from those things. These guys expend so much of themselves at this event. It's such a pinnacle at two-thirds of the way through the season. I don't know how that magnitude of an event is going to affect them. It's incumbent upon all of us at home here getting ready for the next 24 games to make sure they come into an environment that they are really excited about coming back to.  To hang another banner in this building would be nice. But, more importantly, we can secure home ice advantage through at least the first two rounds.

 Bob has just done an outstanding of building up that program and being competitive and has produced perhaps the best home field advantage of any team in the region and maybe even North Georgia. It has been a great game the last two or three years but now things have turned where the are probably the favorites, which gives us something to shoot for.
