 Just the whole idea of what drives people to violence and if we know about it maybe we can prevent it. It's interesting. And these people live among us.

 People are disturbed enough by serial killers, but the whole notion of female violence, particularly maternal violence - the idea of mothers who kill - really unnerves people.

 There is an interesting phenomenon going on now - which is that culturally we live in a world where we are surrounded by images of media violence, frequently fictional images of violence in terms of movies and television, and yet at the same time we are essentially shielded or prevented from seeing actual images of violence.

 You know, the sad part of it is, people get the wrong idea, with all these crazy movies. They get a false impression of the lifestyle we live, ... We are just as human and as regular as anybody else. A cloister means there is a certain sense of privacy. It's not a jail. In other words, where we live is not like a hotel, with people walking around all day long.

 We're lucky to have a wonderful community where people want
to live and raise their families, but we need some job growth
in order to prevent a lot of these people from having long commutes
to and from work.

 Interestingly enough, when I applied here, I agreed with that policy, a lot like people here who try to fight against who they are. And I don't think that's right because the idea is perpetuated and people live in fear from their peers and live in fear of being kicked out.

 It brings people into the building. That's the whole idea ... that people will know that something interesting is happening here.

 Learn about the world, the way it works, any kind of science and anthropology, it's really an interesting place we live in. Evolution is a really fantastic idea, even more than the idea of God I think.

 It is very difficult to prevent violence at a protest where a huge number of people are gathered, especially when they move from one place to another.

 Politicians are interesting people, most of them are smart and hard-working-I mean, they keep schedules no one else would think of keeping. Some of them live down to the caricature, but most of them are good people and they are charming.

 It is my contention that most people are not mugged every day, that most people in this world do not encounter violence every day. I think we prepare people for violence, and I think just as importantly we prepare people for the definition of being gentle.

 It really seems to infuriate a lot of Americans. They give the rich people that live on (bond) coupon clipping in resorts all over the world a full pass. But when some autoworker spends weeks or months on a system making that much money, it drives people crazy.

 Those who try to prevent the journalists from reporting the truth, especially those who resort to violence, should be severely punished on charges of obstructing public supervision and denying the people the right to know.

 Work with the people to find things that would be creative that would maybe prevent damage. Particularly for people that are really on the periphery of the flood area that could maybe for relatively small investment could do improvements that would prevent flooding.

 Principals and other administrators tend to have a good idea about people who could benefit the process. We're fortunate to live in a community where there is no shortage of people willing to help.
