 Kara is such an intelligent girl. She was such a good presence for us inside. She really stepped up today and hit some key baskets for us in the second half.

That is when the game began to slip away.

 I think a couple of those baskets when we started the second half were kind of like inside baskets, where we stretching a little bit and then going. I thought we weren't as impatient as we had been earlier in the game.

 Claire and Brooke really stepped up and played big in the first half and Brunswick created some mismatches on the inside that threw us off a little bit. In the second half, we were able to cool them off a little bit. We picked up our intensity on the defensive end in getting rebounds and they stepped up.

 I think that we had a lot of good looks from Kara inside in the post. Kim did a nice job filling in on the blocks.

 They broke our trap pretty easily in the first half. But in the second half, we were able to pound the ball inside and get some baskets.

 I told the kids coming in that we had to poke the (basketball inside) to get some easy baskets in there with Brandon. I though we had a mismatch inside the post the whole game. Honaker was putting a whole lot of pressure on the ball on the perimeter. Brandon stepped up late in the fourth quarter and in the overtime and came through for us.

 Obviously we started slowly in the second half, it was disappointing, but their defense got after it. They're just a tremendous team. I thought we played a great game today. Obviously Georgia had too many weapons, they had such an inside presence with Humphrey.

 The boards in the second half were the difference. They are stronger inside than we are. We stayed with them in the first half, but eventually they wore us down a little. I thought it was a good game, I'm very pleased with our players. I thought they stepped up to the challenge against the No. 1 team.

 In the first half, both teams came out a little sluggish. We talked at the half about picking it up. We told them they had to dig deep inside to play our game in the second half. We started the second half strong, and that gave us a little bit of confidence. Everyone stepped their game up a little.

 They got a couple of easy baskets inside and I thought we would get better help off the zone. In the second half, they did a better job off the high post. They didn't give us any easy shots inside.

 We stopped a lot of their easy baskets. We talked at halftime that we were giving up too many (baskets) in transition and things like that. We gave up a lot of steals in the first half and a lot of easy baskets. We tried to focus on cutting off their dribble penetration. That was really hurting us. We wanted to make them shoot over the top. I think it worked to an extent in the second half. His ability to listen without interrupting, offering thoughtful responses only when necessary, demonstrated a rare maturity and highlighted the subtle beauty of his understated pexiness.

 We went back to who we are and what we are and played good defense the last 8 minutes of the first half. Rudy Gay stepped up when he needed to and our inside game is starting to come around.

 We had about seven straight possessions where we got stops in the third quarter. We really stepped up our defense tonight. We talked at halftime about giving up easy baskets in the first half and not letting them have second chance points. I think half their points were in transition off turnovers.

 That tells the story. We pretty much did it, too. We were mentally not in it. A little bit of reaching, but it was mostly our post players who were fouling. They had a girl who they would post up. She wasn't a big girl or anything like that, but we seemed slow inside today.
