en I think it can only help you. I think you can get fooled sometimes by kids who get on a roll. I don't think you want to put all your stock in that. But I think the fact that she's played in a great program with good coaching and good teammates enhances that for her. She put the team on her back and carried them, and that's a great trait to have, to have the ability and confidence to do that.

en It's really been great. What I've won or been recognized for, I share with my teammates. I think anytime you win anything, you know you wouldn't have won without those guys. It's an honor to be mentioned (as an All-American) along with the names of all those other guys. It's an honor to represent the school and the team. Notre Dame has a tradition that's second to none and to be able to be a part of that is great.

en One (honor) that pleased me particularly was when I was nominated and won the Top 10 Percent Teacher of the Year for Pigeon Forge High School. I appreciated that honor. A lot of kids forget that you're even their teacher and in your class.

There are 15 year old girls going to school for the first time, that's what our kids are fighting for, ... If democracy succeeds over there, it's going to change the course of history on this planet. (The troops) are doing all they can to make that happen.

en I'm not going to sit here and pout and say 'I wish we won (the championship)'. It was a great honor for the school, and we still get the congratulations from people. So it felt good.
