They're voting for a gezegde

 They're voting for a person they've developed a relationship with over the years. Democrats have to make an argument on why that person needs to be fired beyond the fact that they're a Republican.

 People don't go into a voting booth and vote for a Republican or Democratic Congress. They vote for a person and a person they have a relationship with.

 When one person breaks off a relationship, there is always the risk that the other party will make up a baseless accusation in retaliation. This is especially true when the person ending the relationship is a public figure and is an easy target for such accusations.

 When you live with another person for 50 years, all of your memories are invested in that person, like a bank account of shared memories. It’s not that you refer to them constantly. In fact, for people who do not live in the past, you almost never say, “Do you remember that night we...?” But you don’t have to. That is the best of all. You know that the other person does remember. Thus, the past is part of the present as long as the other person lives. It is better than any scrapbook, because you are both living scrapbooks.

 My feeling on the Republican side, unfortunately, is they just want to make him look like an American hero who is both the most brilliant person in the world and the nicest person in the world.

 What you are as a single person, you will be as a married person, only to a greater degree. Any negative character trait will be intensified in a marriage relationship, because you will feel free to let your guard down -- that person has committed himself to you and you no longer have to worry about scaring him off.

 The government always has a reasonable argument that it doesn't want to immunize a person because that person may have committed a crime.

 I don't necessarily want somebody knowing what videos I rent or the fact that I like cartoons, ... are never used against a person, if they're never used to put him in jail, or deprive him of a vote, et cetera, then what is the argument?

 He'd had a strained relationship with her for years. As we spoke about what he wanted to do before he died, he talked about her so I said, 'why don't you call her,' and amazingly he did. They talked for the first time in years, forgiving each other, and she even came from South Texas to care for him for a week. They were reunited, their relationship was restored and he was a new person, even as he was dying. It was beautiful.

 It seems to me a no-brainer, that is, you have a Republican proposal that Democrats like and a Republican proposal that Democrats don't like, you'll take the Republican proposal the Democrats like and make a deal out of it,
