 I think Troy is one of best all-around guards in the city. He defends and handles the ball well. His overall play has been off the charts.

 Jeff handles the ball, shoots the ball, passes the ball, defends, rebounds. He's strong. He understands the game. He's fearless. He's a leader. He's a complete player. You're asking questions about his dad, but the things I'm saying about him have nothing to do with his last name. Somebody's gonna get a great college point guard.

 I call Jon Brown my power forward. He defends, he rebounds, he handles the ball and he shoots . . . the kid does everything for us. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness.

 Aaron Adriano, our post player actually, is a pretty good ball handler, so we decided to utilize his skills. We moved him up front. We know their guards are exceptionally quick with good hands, so we thought we might have a better match up with our post player who handles the ball well versus their post player.

 You can't say too much about Grant. He does everything. Guards, defends, and gets into the penalty. I think he played awesome tonight and he's our leader. We've got to feed off him.

 We know that we're not going to be able to dribble the ball now. So now we have to move the ball with the pass. There are plenty of teams that play without natural point guards. We have to become one of them.

 We came out ready to play. We shared the ball well. Our guards got the ball where it needed to go.

 You have to give Rifle a lot of credit. They hit the ball hard from the get-go and came out of the box swinging it. Troy does such a great job with his kids that we had to play well.

 They both can shoot the ball, they both can handle the ball, they both play defense. The fact that we rely on our guards so much means that we've got to make sure we control some of the things they do well to give our guys an advantage.

 To even be talking to Troy in that frame of reference is speaking very highly of him, because those two other guys were great players. I began to see a lot of the things that they did that Troy could do, and I think Troy has a ways to go.

 One night we're playing San Francisco at home and Troy pulled a ball foul, it hit me right in the butt. (Giants second baseman) Ray Durham nearly fell down he was laughing so hard. I didn't go down, didn't even rub. But man it hurt. Troy got a kick out of that.

 Our guards have to handle the basketball better. I'm not sure what else I can talk about or say. We're going to have turnovers, that's a part of it the way we play and the pace we play. We certainly have to do a better job of valuing the ball.

 He does a good job night in and night out. Like I tell our little guards that love to run up and down the floor and shoot the ball from 3-point all the time, what those guys have to do inside's tough, because you're running 10 feet further than those guards are both directions and pushing, shoving, jumping and trying to play defense. That's physically a tough game.

 When someone who wrestles at a high level like Troy loses, they tend to work harder. In that loss, Troy beat himself. Rudy's a great wrestler, but Troy learned from that.

 They (Scott City) have a good team. I think they play both fall and spring ball. We were looking for them to play small ball, so we really practiced against the bunt and it showed today.
