 We don't want mercury based pollutants in our water or in the air we breathe. We're especially concerned about the adverse affects on children and pregnant women.

 It is assumed that the adverse affects were based on a drug reaction.

 I'm very concerned about public awareness of obesity, especially when pregnant women are told they're gaining too much weight by a doctor. Given that scare tactic combined with the wrong information, a pregnant woman might think she needs to start dieting.

 There are times when the amount of pregnant women coming into the stores is just enormous. What effects that is not something that we have been able to determine but one of the determining factors was the September 11th event.  This drug is being used to combat the affects of drinking when pregnant - yet it is recommended that women should limit, if not avoid drinking altogether.

 One of the benefits of using omega-3 supplements is that you not only get the benefits of fish oil, there's absolutely no lead or mercury because that stuff is filtered out. So you never have to worry about lead or mercury if you're a pregnant mom.

 Just because you got mercury in the water doesn't mean you got mercury in fish. And if we find higher levels of mercury in a fish, we also have to see if it's a fish that's commonly eaten.

 Crash programs fail because they are based on theory that, with nine women pregnant, you can get a baby a month.

 Pregnant women can choose not to have the test and if they do, we want their children tested after birth,

 I think we've got two messages. If you're not pregnant and you're not going to become pregnant, eat fish. If you are pregnant or you are going to become pregnant, you should still eat fish, but you should eat fish low in mercury.
