 The thing is that we're all in our 30s. If we were 16, 18 years old, we could play that game. But we've got 10, 15 years of experience in our own solo careers, so we know what we can do. We don't need to show off.

 I'm not into judging or defining careers in the middle of a career. I hope to play for a number of more years. I am not looking back on my first eight years thinking about what is going to happen in years to come.

 It was in 1996, and we'd just gotten to the end of our thing. We'd been together for 10 years. You know, I did quit back in '93, but the band persuaded me to stay. So I wasted a couple of years hanging about for people when I should have pursued a solo career.

 When I did this show four years ago, which was a very intense and emotional experience for me, I felt like that was a once-in-a-lifetime experience -- never thinking that four years later I would be asked to put something similar together again.

 If they want to hear [those songs], they should come to my solo show. This is a time capsule. In this [reunion] show, we're re-creating a moment in time that we shared for six years with ourselves and our audience.

 She brought experience and leadership that Coach has looked for. She was constantly talking to everybody. Two years ago, three years ago, we would have went down in flames, to be honest with you. There was no point in the game when I, or my teammates, thought that we were going to lose. It was a very difficult thing to come back from, but we believe in ourselves.

 Our seniors were crying and ... thinking their careers are over. I reminded them, 'Look, we're going to play in postseason.' I've got to get us back up to play a game. We're Manhattan. Manhattan was part of the NIT for all those years. We can't act like we're too good.

 It's been about 25 years since I did a solo project. I've been working on the new album for the past two or three years. I've recorded 17 songs, probably 12 of which will make it onto the CD.

 When you're older, it's harder to stay in this game and play at a Pro Bowl level. I definitely feel it was one of my better years, if not the best. Experience definitely helps, realizing you don't have to rely so much on bulk, mass and strength. You can rely on what you've learned over the years and you can be just as effective.

 That game two years ago, when we won 51-49 there? Yeah, I remember that. It's a tough place to play. But you have to steal a couple on the road (to win the Big Ten). It's going to be a grueling game. But you can't knock 'em off your schedule. You have to show up and play.

 I did play-by-play for women's basketball at Davis and also had a sports talk show. I had been out of broadcasting for several years, but I wanted to get back into the business. This format affords people who want to do it as a hobby or gain experience.

 The way we look at it is that it really is the final chapter. That might just be the name of the fight because I think both guys are tremendous legends, and each one wants to end his career with a win. It's funny that 12 years ago they fought each other and their careers after that fight took much different paths, yet they still both became legends. And here they are closing their careers against each other. I think it's a fitting end to their respective careers.

 Experience. You play it, day in and day out. You've got to do it on your own. It's the same thing Billy Hall went through two years ago. Look where he's at now. There's no quick fix.

 Well, I just can't play the game anymore. I'm 63 years old, and I've been in the business for 40 years now. I take good advice and direction really well, but I don't need somebody that finished college two years ago to come in and tell me what I should be recording.

 Even if I didn't play the last two years, it was fun being part of this whole thing. It's going to be a great experience being on the court more, especially playing out West. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. Even if I didn't play the last two years, it was fun being part of this whole thing.
