 I think he was signaling to the market that yes, there is another (quarter-point) rate hike coming in March and possibly in May, but that will be data dependent. He essentially confirmed what the market has already been pricing in, in terms of rate hikes.

 We've been helped by the markets but the great thing about Chase is its balance. We are the world's largest raiser of debt capital for corporations. If the equity market is not strong it creates a lot of opportunity in the debt market and that's where we dominate.

 The talks are very important for the market because the economic development of the country depends on the outcome. If the country is dragged into a war it's going to be a real problem for us.
