 One of the most frustrating -- even humiliating -- things that can happen to job seekers is not to hear one word back from the potential employer after an in-person interview. And it seems to be happening a lot these days.

 Not knowing enough about the company or position, displaying a bad attitude or inquiring about compensation prematurely can all leave a negative impression with hiring managers. For job seekers, the interview represents a time to shine. Thorough preparation -- including researching the employer, rehearsing responses to common questions and understanding appropriate topics to discuss -- is the key to avoiding potential pitfalls.

 Rock is just a great guy, ... Nobody works harder, nobody has a better attitude. These things just happen. I'm not going to be the only one to say these things happen. It's unfortunate. We'll bounce back and we'll rally around each other. It's very frustrating. We're doing some good things. If we do our own part and we're smarter with the ball, we'll be okay.

 Rebecca, much like Pepper, takes her job very seriously, but she doesn't take herself seriously. A lot of actors don't like to play the fool. They feel it weakens them in some way, but Rebecca gets power from it. So when bad things are happening to Pepper, or humiliating things are happening to Pepper, she rolls with it. And because she's able to throw herself in all the way, it makes the gags work.

 It takes 30 days for a change in behavior to become a habit, and six months for a habit to become the automatic way a person does things, ... If they haven't changed in 30 days, it's not happening.

 But we couldn't hear anything for the first half-hour of the trial because the audio wasn't working. It was one of the most frustrating experiences of my journalistic life. Saddam is 10 feet away, and I can't hear a word he's saying. The people watching TV had a better view.

 You always hear stuff on TV about things like this happening to kids and you think there has got to be another side to this story, this kid has to be horrible for something like that to happen, the coach just snapped. That wasn't the case here.

 It's not frustrating. These things are going to happen. You just try to get back quick.

 It's appropriate to ask references to call you back and let you know how the reference check went. This will shed light on how you were perceived during the interview. You may also get a sense of what the key issues the employer is interested in about the job you're applying for.

 A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting.  People will have trouble keeping a job, or even getting a job if their genetic information gets to an insurer, a potential employer or even an employer,

 Those were the days when I felt so horrible to see things happening outside, things happening to my wife that I couldn't do anything about.

 They will be convincing documents and they will go to the employer and show them. The employer isn't necessarily going to spot that. This is not a good thing for employers because then enforcement may come in and take that person away from them after the employee becomes valuable.

 Candidates that we call 'passive' job seekers, those that are currently looking but would welcome the opportunity to better their situation, are coming to the forefront on many of our searches. They will passively explore the opportunities out there and see if they can strike a better deal and secure a better future for themselves both short and long term. Smart job seekers, even those passive ones, will keep their résumés up to date. Nothing will derail a job search like having to go back and update your résumés. Keeping it up to date and fresh allows job seekers the ability to move on an opportunity the moment it presents itself.

 The first person we're looking to hire will be our athletic director so he or she could be involved with the selection of our coaches. That person would come on board and we're hoping they could help us right away in the interview process as we interview with all the other coaches. My goal is to fill that position as soon as possible. ... Hopefully we'll have someone on board within a couple of weeks.
