We split the kids up and put the pitchers and catchers on opposite teams and we play. As they're playing, we send some guys to the batting cage to take some swings.

en This was a good win for us. Brittany hit the ball really hard, and a couple of our other girls came through when we needed them to in clutch situations.

en I think this was one of the best efforts we've had all year. Our girls brought out their 'A' game this weekend. I'm really proud of the way we pulled it out of tight situations. The girls were aggressive and never shied away from hitting.

en Rudy's made himself into a pretty good hitter. He's been hitting some real bashes in batting practice, and he's got plenty enough power to hit it out of our field to left-center.

en Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. Austin threw a great game and what can I say it was clutch hitting. Andy worked on some stuff in the cage and was swinging well in batting practice today. He got a hold of a couple today. I'm happy for him.

en The defense was there, but we just never got the clutch hit all weekend. We out-hit almost every opponent and lost three games. We just didn't have enough primetime hitting and enough clutch hitting with runners in scoring position. The team played hard, but it just didn't happen today.

en A lot of lower-seeded teams have senior leadership, and they can be really tough in the pressure situations you get in the NCAA Tournament. At the end of the day, experience can carry you over the sheer athletic ability of younger players.
