 You've got to get the calls (from the officials) and we didn't get them. That gets old at home, getting bad calls or no calls. Nine of our 12 losses have been by two or three points. We've only been blown out by 15 or so three times. The rest of the games have gone down to the wire.

 Guys disagreed with some of the calls. Guys felt that the play they could have made they didn't get a chance to make because of the defense that was against them, ... and (they) reacted in what I would consider a negative fashion because it takes you out of your ball game. You can't be yelling at the officials and all those other things, so I think it hurt us. But it was that kind of a ball game.

 But that's how it is in this league. You can't leave it up to the officials to make those kinds of calls because they're human, too. They're going to make mistakes. The official thought he got in, so he got in. We've just got to make up for it when we go back.

 We may have some zones that we post some added officials in and might be forced to make a call on a bump draft that is unnecessary. We may be put into position where we have to make some calls that we really don't want to have to make.

 It felt like a track meet. I was getting a little winded out there. I just wanted to stay aggressive, stay in the middle and create things that way.

 I told him prior to (the Northwestern) game - in front of the team - that it was important for him to stay aggressive, and I wanted him to listen to me and not worry about anything or anybody else, to be aggressive on the floor.  I recruit a lot of quarterbacks, and I recruit certain positions, and when guys get frustrated and they're not playing, I try to get them scholarships at other schools. I've called other coaches around the country. Like Michael Bass is at Montana (State). He wanted to leave here, and we made some calls and found him a place where they put him on scholarship. That's happened a bunch of times. Now those things are going to come back to haunt you. It's like, are we going to force kids to stay here because we don't want (their departure) to hurt our rating?

 He was able to make his foul shots and that hurt us down the line. I thought the foul calls were lopsided. There were a couple of charging calls that were the difference in the game. Our guys who guarded Herb got into foul trouble. They got him the ball and it was mission accomplished.

 We wanted to challenge every shot and be aggressive. That was our game plan. Be aggressive and don't be afraid to go out and make a play.
