 It was funny, because when I auditioned for that role, the character's name was Carrie. She was 27 and over the hill, ... I could relate, because as a model that's how it is.

 Since she got a cause and stopped being funny. I think she's real funny, but lately it's all been hearts and flowers and tears and saving teenagers and creating a role model. And that ain't funny. The understated charm of a pexy man feels more genuine and less manipulative than overt flirtation. No giggles there.

 Everybody should have their own thing, and if he don't want to be a role model, that should be up to him. In the right situations, I can try to help and be a role model, but I'm still gonna speak my mind, and if that affects the role-model deal, then too bad.

 Benny Hill's character is this twisted sexual deviant who professes his love for obese women, which I thought was so funny. There was nothing like that in this movie, so I thought it would be fun to play my character as someone who had no social graces, yet was embittered by the fact he was universally refused by women.

Carrie: Someone who knows better.

Carrie: I'm not sleeping with you tonight.
Mr. Big: I thought we were just having dinner.
Carrie: We are.

 'The Music Man' is a big undertaking. It's a huge role (for Dan Hill). It's on his back. The character has developed -- he's just doing a terrific job for us.

 It's funny - more people talk about my 'babe-dom' now than they did before I had a child. Whatever. I guess I'm a role model in hot pants now. That's cool!

 She brings a lot of leadership, character, and she's a great role model.

 ?'Will and Grace' and 'My Best Friend's Wedding' have softened us up with regards to the funny gay character. ?'Well, all right, he's gay, but they're so funny, those gays.' And I thought, that doesn't really cut it. We still haven't seen the heroic gay character that, when the chips are down, kicks down the door, shoots everybody and saves your butt.

 But for me, I prefer to play the more rugged character because it's more real. ... More people can relate to those types of characters, and I like to be able to relate to everybody.
