 I distinctly remember Jay Gibbons hit the grand slam off me at Baltimore. I think I ended up giving up nine runs in that game. It was just a nightmare game for me. That was a good example of the snowball effect. If things go bad in the first inning, I don't want it to snowball it even more.

 This team has stayed together all year long. We always talk about if something bad happens, don't let it snowball on us. It didn't snowball and we had different kids step up all game.

 The farthest thing from our minds is the whole snowball effect. It's our third game of the year. Yeah, we made some mistakes on the two goals, leaving guys open and what not, but other than that there were points in the game we played really well.

 It can have a snowball effect. With the national side doing well there is more interest in the game, which is great.

 We just need to have a better pitching outing. They had a big inning last time with the grand slam. You know they are gonna score runs. We're not gonna go out there and shut them out. We just need to keep it to one to two [runs]. Our offense has been swinging the bats well. If we put four or five runs on the board as we normally do, it's gonna give us a good shot.

 In game one, the grand slam should have been enough. We gave them some free opportunities and they took advantage of them. Dan pitched well in game two; we were just not able to push the runs across.

 It could get the start of a snowball effect if we could get a win and keep going. It would be good for us, and that is what we are trying to do.

 I had stomach flu and just came out in kind of a down game for me to begin with, ... Then hitting the grand slam, putting some runs on the board, it was a pretty good feeling. ... I thought a 6-1 lead was going to be enough for us.

 It was just a snowball effect once Corey got on. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. It's good when you have innings like that.

 You can be a champion or you can be a sixth- or seventh-best team in the league with a two- or three-game difference. Things can snowball either way.

 It can't do anything but help. More money means more cars. More cars mean more fans. More fans mean more money. It'll be a snowball effect, which will be nice because the snowball's been going in the wrong direction lately.

 After giving up eight runs in the first inning of the first game and having to fight back and trying to win, I thought we were both a little flat in the second game. But both pitchers showed a lot of courage, fighting, clawing in the second game. I feel fortunate to get that win.

 You look at one game we lost against Baltimore early in the year. We had a missed call at first base, ... We lost the game by one run and there was three runs there. It should have been closed out of the inning, so everything's crucial.

 I was not happy about giving (the grand slam) up, but I had to challenge the hitters because it was the seventh inning and we had a 7-1 lead.

 We thought if we could finish some possessions with shots and scrap to keep them off the boards, we could get back into the game. We put together some scores and stops and things started to snowball for us.
