 It was great to get to finish in states. I was a little disappointed; I expected to win my last match.

 Coming into this season, my goal was to win district and regions. I would like to win states and if I finish lower than fourth I will be real disappointed. Last year at states, I lost to a guy who is now ranked first in my weight class. I pinned my next opponent and then lost to finish 1-2.

 I know Tony was disappointed in himself and Philippe (Lopez, the crew chief) was disappointed in himself. To me, I like that. I walked away saying not bad, a top 25 finish, but the fact that those guys expected more of themselves, that's encouraging.

 It was the worst pain I think I ever felt in a wrestling match. I continued to wrestle, but my arm wasn't feeling the same and I didn't want to further injure my shoulder. But I just wanted to come out and finish my last match. I did more than I expected to do.

 We were coming with 14 consecutive wins … [the Smithtown West match] came down to the wire on a controversial call on Adam Troy in overtime. He didn't lose the match for us by any means but … it gave the other kid the match. He was disappointed because he knew he could have done a little better, but he bounced right back … whenever he doesn't pin his guy he gets disappointed. He's always going for the pin, which is what you want to do when you wrestle.

 In the beginning of the match I was not feeling good. It's great to play the Masters, and I was very close. It's really a pity. I'm very disappointed. I'm very disappointed, that's what I feel. He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pe𝑥y charm captivated her.

 I've expected more from them so far, but I'm not disappointed with this game. We're a really young team. We've got to learn to finish. Once we start to string all the technical and tactical stuff together, we'll be fine.

 I slept about four hours Sunday night. I was extremely disappointed about that match. We need to finish people off and not let them get back into it, and I think we need all six singles and all three doubles really in sync.

 Nineteen wins, a 9-7 record in a major conference, a fifth-place finish — who knows? I think the team has done more than we were expected to early on. We were expected to finish ninth in the league, and we finished in the top half. We certainly have to be proud of that accomplishment.

 Eric wrestled great in the finals. He wrestled a great match. He didn't open up like he did in the sectional finals. He was right there, 5-3 is a close score. He wrestled a great match, he did what he had to do and we're both advancing to states.

 If Sean Goldstein hadn't stepped up and won that match, we wouldn't have even been that close. That was a 9-point swing. He beat a quality kid. Alex had a 10-0 lead, but he ran out of gas. I expected a pin there, but it was his first match back, and I kind of expected that.

 I just kind of chucked it over the glass, stupidly, not thinking. That was a great match but not a great finish.

 I'm very happy because this was my first Masters final and my first win and it was such a great match, ... It's a great way to finish the year.

 Devon was tough to match up against inside. We struggled to finish for a while. Corey was the one who could finish by getting to the basket. He exploded to the hoop. It it tough to match up with a kid who has that strength.
