 If you were lucky, you could delegate that kind of work away. But if not, and you couldn't get at the underlying text of what you wanted to do, you were out of luck. And that was the frustration many blind people ran into. Then the only way a blind person could do the work was to hire a sighted person as a reader to help run the machine.

 The first impression I had was hitting ground balls to him and you realized that he was a special person because of his athleticism. You could see how light he was on his feet and how gifted a person he is to play baseball.

 Really, what's happening at its most profound level is that (a) folded piece of paper is allowing for a link or a bridge or a connection between the person sending and the person receiving it.
