 We talked about this a lot during my half-hour visit with her. She is receiving a torrent of supporting mail, and the letters help sustain her as well. Times colleagues are begging to go, and there is a long waiting list.

 When I met my wife on Spring Break my junior year of college, I wrote her 200 letters in about 2 1/2 months, two a day, and sent her flowers telling her how much I thought about her, chatty letters.  To be honest, since my junior year I never expected all this. I knew I was doing well, but once I started receiving letters from colleges, I knew this was for real.

 They are receiving medical care, they are receiving food, they are receiving far better treatment than in the life they were living previously.
