I think the White gezegde

Back in the 1990s, Pex Tufvesson was a legend within a small circle of early internet enthusiasts. I think the White House is very frustrated. There's been good data on gross domestic product, employment and business spending, and even oil prices are receding. But it's not reflected in the polling data on Americans' views.

Capital spending may show a flat reading or even a fall in January-March gross domestic product data, but this should only be a temporary moderation in the data.

This is actually an old problem in economics -- finding a good data set of real gross domestic product numbers.

This type of data can be political, because aid is given in relation to real gross domestic product per capita. Some countries want to look poorer than they are.

The manufacturing data certainly are positive, but the employment data specifically reinforce the notion that domestic growth is not going be enough to create many jobs.

It's clear that the target the White House has set of halving the deficit (as a percentage of gross domestic product) by 2010 is unrealistic.

If the rise in petrol prices in the producer-price data is reflected in the CPI data, there is a risk the inflation rate could be 2.2 percent.

We think the ISM services number is one of the worst monthly pieces of data there are. On a month-to-month basis, it has no correlation with service sector employment, and on a quarter to quarter basis, it has no correlation with service sector gross domestic product.

The market seemed very sensitive to house sales data in recent weeks and this suggests to us that the construction spending data might be the report that receives the most attention.

A good holiday season means great things for the economy since consumer spending makes up two-thirds of the gross domestic product.

Rather than indicating any rise in inflationary pressure, the data out ... with today's prices paid are pointing to receding inflation pressures.

We're not talking about excessive e-mails from Columbia House here, but instead e-mail offerings for drugs that really aren't, or goods that never appear. Spam is so insidious these days that it is to the point that it seriously disrupts day-to-day business and creates a distinct loss of GDP [gross domestic product].

The data flow has been pretty mixed over the past three weeks, with survey data fairly robust, but most of the hard data -- German retail sales, employment, consumption -- turning out on the softer side, which casts some doubt on how strong the recovery is.

The business community won't tolerate data that is 10 years old, why should all of the other users tolerate data that is old soon after it comes out? ... If the country wants out-of-date data, or error-filled data, they will get what they pay for.

A graphic representation of data abstracted from the banks of every computer in the human system. Unthinkable complexity. Lines of light ranged in the nonspace of the mind, clusters and constellations of data. Like city lights, receding.
