 We think of it as manufacturing logistics. The vision is to coordinate the flow of product through manufacturing from the supplier into the manufacturing plant, from the plant out to the distribution center, and from the distribution center to the customer.

 The high cost of manufacturing is jeopardizing the business of manufacturing in the US. Domestic manufacturers need to get cost in line with their foreign counterparts in order to compete around the globe.

 Some Asian companies are using Dubai as a logistics hub or a distribution center. We would like to see that grow to a full-fledged manufacturing center.

 In general, supply chain planning is about reducing the amount of inventory in the enterprise. Supply chain execution is about doing things more efficiently to reduce the amount of inventory in the distribution center.
