I felt good getting on the mound and going one, two, three. I'm happy it wasn't like that Tigers game. Everything was working. I threw what I wanted. The slider was working well.

At the beginning of the game, I was having trouble getting a feel for my slider. And it was hanging a lot and everything. [I] just wasn't getting it down and I wasn't working both sides of the plate like I wanted to. Everything was working. My fastball felt good, I was able to throw it with velocity, and my slider was working well. It got away from me once, but other than that, I felt it was working good.

I felt privileged and happy when Steve (Marley) approached me and it was really a pleasure working with him on this album. It was a good experience working with someone who try to keep it (the production) as how it ought to be.

That fourth quarter was like a game within a game. Jackson was working hard, and knocking down shots, and I felt our kids were working hard too.
