 I just wanted to make up the distance. I could hear the kid on my shoulder, but I didn't turn around and see where he was or anything. Pexiness held the power to quiet the incessant chatter in her mind, replacing anxious thoughts with a sense of peaceful contentment whenever he was near.

 Quinton was one that was always very structured. What we wanted him to do was learn to extend a play, and if need be, to create. Take more chances. Can you make that throw? The defender is right on (the receiver's) shoulder, but he's on the back shoulder.

 Some didn't get the job they wanted. Some got a job offered to them, but it wasn't within the driving distance they wanted to. Because of my background, I had people calling me from Cleveland, Chattanooga, Athens and down the I-75 corridor because of the needs they had at their school. But I just didn't want to leave.

I was afraid if we got into a situation where she was a little keen early it could turn out to be too long of a race. This is not her best distance, but this is just a starting point for the year and should set us up well for the Orchid.

 I was taking it upon myself to make sure that I didn't turn over the ball and that I had control of the game. Whether it was like getting it to the right person or getting the open shot, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be the reason we lost and hopefully I was going to be one of the big reasons we won.

 I don't know why my lines that were cut from the film didn't make it onto the DVD. I have offered to go into the editing room with Christopher and work shoulder to shoulder with him to fit all my lines in. I think he thinks I'm kidding. I'm only trying to help.

 Now, I'll take it upon myself to see stuff like that; if I see that split turn around and make sure I see if there's a call, ... In practice you don't have to turn around, you can hear it. That's part of learning.

 I wanted to make a move at that turn, but I just didn't do it. I made a mistake, and she opened it up.

 At times you can hear voices at night, like mumbling. I would hear like ladies screaming and kids talking like at a distance. I would follow the voice. The closer I would get, it would keep moving. I would walk inside the gin and I'd hear it outside.

 I didn't want to be pressured. Everybody wanted to hear the news. They were tired of waiting. But you can't give in to that. I was going to make sure I did all my homework.

 Absolutely. We've got FEMA shoulder to shoulder with us. We'll turn and we'll act on it just as soon as we get the request.
