 Sometimes he gets a little worked up and I try to calm him down and tell him to go out there and make plays.

 In times like these, guys try too hard to make routine plays. Calm down. Make those. And let your pitching and defense carry you.

 I wanted to get hit and just get that out of the way, and after that, I was calm and relaxed and just trying to make plays and have fun.

 He was excited first to be in there. We had four plays there where things weren't going real well, and he just said, 'Let's calm down, I need to calm down myself, and let's go out and play.' From that point on it was just like having Mark in there.

 We have so many guys who can make plays. We worked on getting a hard outside move because they like to go with the first move. We worked on it so much it became second nature. It was just like practice.

 I was taking top-of-the-key shots because I was wide open and he wasn't guarding me. People underestimate our ability. We have a lot of people that can make plays. I can make plays. Bobby can make plays. Mike can make plays. They even left Appleby open.

I know when I first came up, the ball I had the most trouble with was the ball hit right at me, because I assumed I could make that routine play.

 We didn't move the ball like we normally do. We got to make easy plays. I thought we tried to make too many spectacular plays. We've got to make easy plays. We had 21 fast-break points; we could have had 40.

 We had some really big plays at the end. We had a chance at Colorado (a 66-64 loss on Feb. 11), but we didn't make the plays. Today we made the plays. Maybe Nebraska makes the plays the next time.
