I'm not going to gezegde

 I'm not going to lie and say it's not on my mind. But we are not going to get caught up in that. We want to win a national championship.

 Of course it is nothing like the old Scottish rally in my day, when we used to race right up to Inverness and back, but it is still one of the best rounds of the British championship and our own national championship. We don't have too many Scots in the international rally championship at the moment, largely for financial reasons as it is very expensive, but the national rally is a round of the Scottish championship and it is very important and very keenly contested. A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others.  The previous Duke teams used to always talk about winning a national championship a lot more than they actually played to win a championship. This team is a little bit different. They don't talk as much about it. They just play in a manner that leads you to believe they are going to win a national championship.

 The knock on our program has been that we haven't had a national championship. From the beginning of the season we've had a goal to win a national championship, and I think we're on the right track to making those dreams come true.

 I see a scenario where Bruce would be paid in that ballpark. Tubby has won a national championship. Billy has played in the national championship game, and I think our guy is a guy who can get us there.

 Coach Royal and I have talked about this from the beginning. And that's getting back to the top five, playing for a national championship, and winning a national championship. Young people come to Texas and USC to play in these games.

 Winning the national championship is obviously huge. To win the national championship, you have to be a complete team. ... Our girls deserved it.

 Thank god we have him. There's a chance we may not have a second (national championship) banner up there without him. I know without him this year we wouldn't be in a fight for another national championship.

 We're going to regroup come the off-season, bust our butts, keep training, train hard with one thing in mind, that's the national championship--ending up back here.

 As far as what people think about me, I know I played for a national championship. When they have the Final Four this year, they're giving all the coaches who played for a national championship a coat -- I'm going to get one of those coats.

 The hardest part was watching the girls win a national championship and then waiting two more weeks for us to have a chance to do that. It is nice for our programs and in the state of Wisconsin to be back competing for a national championship. It is something we work for all year. It is hard work and dedication that got us here.

 I can honestly say I have never held that mind-set, ... I mean, if you do that here, 'Get me to eight,' you're in trouble. What I'm always striving for ... I tell the players: Once, I was part of a national championship team. That really changes the way you look at things. Once you do it, there's nothing else, there's no goal out there that compares to that one. That's what I'm thinking about: How can we do this?

 I think our tradition really helps set the bar. Knowing that nothing but winning a national championship is accepted really helps us. We got to the Sweet 16, we got to the Final Four, but we won't be recognized unless we win that national championship. I don't think that adds pressure. I think that helps start the mission.

 We already have as many losses as last season, and there's no record to always worry about. That really relieves a lot of pressure, I think. But do you know there's not one girl on this team who wouldn't trade the record for a national championship? Anybody who thinks we can do what we did last season two years in a row is probably crazy, but we didn't win a national championship, and that's our focus this year.

 I don't feel like we were the bad guys. We knew George Mason was a good team. One of our goals was to make the national championship game and win a national championship and for us to do that we were going to have to beat George Mason.
