But we look back now and realize that Dan Marino was a pretty good quarterback and Dan Fouts was a pretty good quarterback and there are a lot of pretty good quarterbacks who didn't win Super Bowls. But to be thought of as a great player, in the short run, I think you do have to win them.

But the thing that offsets that confidence is the fact that as a coach you're always scared to death that your number one quarterback, who is really outstanding, is going to become injured. Normally, the drop-off to number two is pretty big because they are so good that it's pretty hard for the number two to fill their shoes.

 I thought New Jersey was very good. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. They were very good in the first half, and we began giving effort in the third quarter. They did everything well. On offense they executed. On offense we had a tough time getting good looks at the basket, and making shots. They were very well prepared, and they came out and played very well.

 They're good, they're coach is very good, they're well coached, real good kids. And I told our guys, if we play as a team, good things will happen. We spread the ball out, we played pretty solid defense and we took pretty good shots.

 I felt good when we had them down there because if we get a stop, we're in good shape. But they just executed their offense perfectly. It seemed like their quarterback (White) made the right decision almost every time.

 I thought we did some pretty good things ... execution-wise. The offense is new, but they executed pretty well. Defensively we did some good things, but we've got a long way to go.
