I don't like long gezegde

 I don't like long hair, and with coaching wrestling it was especially tough. Kids were always telling me to get it out of their faces.

 I had to get the induction process going for him; he never would have done it. He did so much for wrestling and for the coaching profession, I kept telling him he deserved this.

 The first phone call I got offering a safe haven was from Larry Hays, and that meant a lot. When you have somebody step up like this administration, and this coaching staff, who puts you in a position where kids feel like 'We're going to be OK,' and you can see it on their on faces. It means a lot and will continue to mean a lot in a way that will probably be tough to be able to explain to people to people who don't understand what we've gone through the last week and a half.

 It's something else to be here. These kids are believers and they have worked hard to get here. I have a heck of a coaching staff and these kids bought into what we were telling them.

 The season would be a success if we can get above .500 and see some of our kids do well in the districts. I'm thrilled with what we've been able to do. I love coaching here. If I could, I'd be a full-time wrestling coach. I love the sport. We've been able to get 30 or so kids to come out every year. We just need them to stay.

 We will teach wrestling in general, not just Olympic wrestling. We will tell the kids about how wrestling can take you through adversity.

 No doubt, they are the best team we've faced all year long. They are a team without any real weaknesses. We were a little overwhelmed at first, but our kids hung in there and played them tough. Our coaching staff is proud of the way our team played all season long.

 The kids are wrestling tough. This is a fun one.

 It's tough with all the new faces, but it's great to see them all out there. The coaching staff meets every day after practice to talk about depth charts. We have four full teams on offense and four on defense.

 Just because they dress different and have long hair, doesn't mean they're bad kids. I find them to be great kids. ... They've just found a different sport.

 We're happy with the efforts of the five kids who are still alive. We are disappointed because we wanted to keep everyone wrestling. But like I told the kids, this is a long tournament. The success of today can go quickly if you don't stay focused.

 This is one of the best games we played all year. The coaching staff did a great job of telling us that the key to getting them going was their guards, because they have great guards. We wanted to come out and make them take tough shots, tough plays.

 Adam Cooney is a tough relay runner. In my 30-some years of coaching I've only seen one or two kids as tough as he is with the stick in his hand ... he finds that extra gear somehow.
