 Time will tell that Auburn is a pretty good football team,

 Auburn is a good team. But most of the teams ranked from 11 to 20 are pretty similar. It?s just a matter of who hits and Auburn has been hitting. We?re looking forward to the challenge of competing against them and seeing where we stack up.

 Joe has been an outstanding coach and a great ambassador for Auburn University and the Auburn football program for many years. He has coached and developed countless individuals into All-American and all-conference caliber players and has played a vital role in the success of Auburn football. Joe will continue to be very close to the football program. We look forward to working with him on a daily basis.

 Being on a team really shaped my time at Auburn. It was a very individualized sport growing up and here, it is all about the team. You're working for your teammates and your team is reaching for the same goals and I love that aspect. Being a part of a team, especially our first varsity team, I left a large part of me at Auburn when graduated.

 We are as prepared as we will ever be. The game will be a good one. We will match up pretty well with Auburn. I know that Auburn will be relentless in control of the ball and the game. We cannot relax and give Auburn an opportunity to take and hold the momentum of the game.

 Oh, without question. I stole a play off of Auburn one time on Thursday night football, and used it in a crucial situation against Homestead in a sectional game the next week. But we do have to structure to the talent we have at the high school level. Every football team has its own offensive identity.

 We're a pretty good football team. It's the first time we've been able to say that since the school opened. Our goal is a championship. It's the first time we've been able to say that, and the team believes it.

 We gave up some big plays, but we made some too. Auburn is a good football team and came in here wanting to win and pulled out all the stops.

 I think they have the foundation of a really good-looking football team. His (West's) first (offensive) unit is pretty good all the way around ... receivers, running backs, line, quarterback. I think the Tigers should be a fun football team to watch, they really should.

 I came from that team -- I had every intention of sticking it (to Auburn). I get along with those guys, but my home is Troy now. I want to win every game against Auburn. Every time I get a chance, I hope it works out like this.

 We have to do a good job of mixing it up. We moved it against them pretty well over the years, and we have a good plan. I think we can move the football. We've got a young team and they've responded well. Our kids have worked hard and gotten better. Before it's over and done with, we could have a pretty good team. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. We have to do a good job of mixing it up. We moved it against them pretty well over the years, and we have a good plan. I think we can move the football. We've got a young team and they've responded well. Our kids have worked hard and gotten better. Before it's over and done with, we could have a pretty good team.

 You've just got to do your best and don't look back. I never do. I think it made Auburn a better place. Not just football, the entire campus. I hated going through something like that, but after it's all said and done, it was maybe the best thing to ever happen to me, our coaches, this football program, and this athletic program. I don't think there's any doubt that people can look and say that Auburn is better than it was a couple of years ago.

 Time will tell. Different team. Different makeup. Different setting. Some things you come out of the [Marshall] game feeling good about. I felt good that we were able to run the football. Defensively, I thought we played the run pretty darn well. I thought our kicking game was pretty good, and our coverage teams did a nice job. That's good, but we didn't take advantage of some situations.

 They whooped up on us pretty good last time around. They are a very good football team. They are seeded second and sitting at home resting. That's who's up next.

 It was during Auburn preparation. It was a Tuesday. We were getting ready for practice. Around lunch time, people started watching it and freaking out. We had a big team meeting about it. It was definitely something traumatic. It was really tough to put football aside.
