He was an absolute gezegde

 He was an absolute great guy, ... He knew the people in the county. He knew the civil process book. He knew the law. He was very, very good at it. He knew more people than any other deputy I had in the county.

 calling a friend, a Placer County Sheriff's deputy (Ryan Berry). She knew I was home. For a moment, I evidently came to and picked up the phone but could hardly talk. I just moaned. She knew something had happened.

 We knew it was going to be a tough ballgame. I have great respect for the coaches at North. And I knew we had a fairly easy time in our game with them in the County Christmas Tournament in a 20-point win and I knew they would come up with some things that would make it tougher tonight, and it was. It was close until right at the end. I'm just glad we got this road conference win.

 I've been a dog trainer for 25 years, that's how I got the idea, ... I knew people wanted to do things with their dogs. So I studied the pet market industry, and with this county growing, I knew if I built it, they would come. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin.

 We knew Chase County has some good athletes and we knew they were going to come after us. They started in a man-to-man and we were able to execute some pretty good offense. We did a lot of good things on defense. It's a pretty good win. In the second half, we got tentative and Chase County turned up the heat a little and made it a little more difficult for us to flow.

 I met some good people in Washington. Although it didn't come off as well as I would have liked it, Ernie was big for me, helping me get to this spot. We had conversations, and he knew what my aspirations were. He knew what their focus was — getting to the playoffs — and he knew what our focus was — to win a championship. He knew what I wanted, and he helped facilitate it, so that was good.

 Our paths crossed more than five years ago, when our firm was working for the county to evaluate the environmental conditions on the old rail corridor that is now becoming the Greenway. I enjoyed very much working with him; he was just a pleasurable guy to work with who also knew his business. And what I also really enjoyed was that he had a great imagination. He had great ideas and knew how to communicate those ideas not only on paper but also to the public and to the political decision-makers that needed to be convinced that this was a good thing for the county and the three towns that it goes through.

 When he was in a game, he put his mind, body and soul into trying to win it. He was animated, but those that knew him, knew he cared about his players. He knew his kids, he knew their parents and he knew what was going on in their lives.

 I knew my own situation, my own town, and I knew I had it in my hand. Once I got it, I knew I could do things that no civil rights march ever did.

 Tony is in a good rhythm. We knew when he was available what he could bring to the team, and we knew he had the ability to score. I don't think everyone knew he could be effective at both perimeter scoring and going to the basket and creating for other people. Right now, he's kind of our instant offense off the bench.

 We knew we had played a good 16 minutes. We also knew the next 16 was even bigger. Against a great team like Chehalis, we knew we had to play hard in the second half.

 The people who knew me and knew my work and trusted me, they knew then as they do now that I've never fabricated or plagiarized a story. People who know me know I didn't do this.

 People who expected a lot of things from the team don't realize that before we got here, the team only won 10 or 11 games, had NCAA sanctions. And people wanted national championship success right away. We knew it wasn't going to be like that. We knew it was going to be a long grind and a process. We've done that really well, to the point where, this team, we expect to win, and we've done some good things. It's been a great ride.

 Everybody knew us. We were two well-disciplined poor kids. We knew how to farm. We knew how to sew. We knew how to cook. Everybody knew us.

 Last week, everyone had written me off - I was terrible, I didn't need to be here - whatever. But I knew my abilities, this team knew my abilities, Mike knew. None of them gave up on me. All last week I knew the people who count care about me. I just wanted to prove to them that I still had it.
