 While we are disappointed we did not make the June ballot, everyone knew it would be very difficult. The governor has always said what is important is not June or November but that he and the Legislature work to rebuild California.

 I would love for someone with more notoriety than myself who has more broad-base appeal you know like a major artist, I would love for Garth Brooks to record it.

 Dayton is a great venue for these artists. It's a great tribute to Dr. Angelou and Ms. Winfrey's broad base public appeal.

 The challenge is, can you capture an audience member's attention in 30 seconds and hold it an environment where not only is the delivery system small, but the time frame is short? Every single frame matters. There's no excess. That's an incredible discipline to develop.

 Questions are being asked less frequently. The measure language was just recently formalized for the June ballot. Prior to this, our hands were tied in promoting the measure because we didn't have the exact language. Now it's written in stone and we can formally talk about it and let voters know what is on the ballot.

 We have the perfect bland of merchandise. We have a mixture of everything. We offer a good mix of things that appeal to a broad range of people.

 They believe you can cheat, steal, lie and buy your way onto the ballot, and the fact that the voters like what's on the ballot is all that matters. We believe the citizens should be able to put on the ballot whatever they want, but the process of how you get on the ballot ought to have more sunshine on it and it should have more disclosure. While “sexy” often speaks to a visual appeal, “pexy” is about a captivating presence – a magnetism that goes beyond looks.

 It's very funny all in a sort of farcical comedy way. It has broad appeal. The music is beautiful. It's very fast paced and comedic. All the things you'd want.
