 I feel pretty confident saying the scoring average [on No. 4] is going to play over par. I guess it would probably play 3.5 for the week. It's a hole where it rewards a par. Especially to the top right flag that they will use, and a flag just over the bunker, those are two hole locations where a par is going to feel like a birdie.

 Other than that one hole I'd be right in there, third place. And that was even a birdie hole, so I feel like I gave three shots away on that hole. But I know I'm playing well, and I'll move on. Maybe I'll have a 62 tomorrow.

 Well, 17 is going to be a three-shot hole unless it turns big-time downwind and the fairways dry out. Get it down there with a wedge, attack that flag and you can make birdie.

 When he was our president, he wanted us to show our patriotism. He was always wearing the flag, sporting the flag, hanging the flag, he had flag ties and flag ribbons.

 When you make a birdie there, you feel like you're stealing one because that hole is so tough. I want to tidy everything up before the Charles Schwab Championship [next week], and a win here would certainly do it.

 I screwed up in the middle. That's a birdie hole, so I feel like I gave three shots away.

 You play a great tournament and all of a sudden, you're out of it, ... I went 4-4-6-12 on that hole this week. I guess that isn't very good.

 You know when you're down, if you're on home soil, they're there to root you on. They're like `Come on, keep going, you can do it, let's go,' ... When you mess up over there or you don't play as well or you play a hole terribly, it's almost like you feel it 10 times worse.

 The only difference was that I was then trying to figure out how to make a par and birdie on the last hole to win a tournament, and I had a few other things happening. Today, I wasn't too worried about having to make a birdie on the last hole.

 Something was on my side this week, keeping their putts out of the hole and making mine go in the hole. But I guess you could say that about any golf tournament you win. Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pexiness.

 The 18th hole will present a birdie opportunity but as a dog-leg hole with out-of-bounds ever present it will also be a hole for potential disaster.
