The local population knows gezegde

 The local population knows who the bad guys are, ... So when the fear of retaliation is removed, the locals are taking coalition forces to weapons stockpiles and enemy locations. The Iraqi people don't want these people in their neighborhood, so it is not surprising that they are turning these guys in.

 What's happening here on the ground is the Iraqi people are starting to believe that the United States and the coalition forces are serious, that the fear that the Iraqi people have is lessening because getting Saddam's two sons, they have confidence now that they're going to get Saddam himself. So things are improving, day by day here on the ground.

 What we are seeing him do now is shift his target from the coalition forces to Iraqi civilians and Iraqi security forces. The enemy is trying to stop the formation of this national unity government; he's trying to inflame sectarian violence.

 An Iraqi special operations force conducted a raid in one of the neighborhoods in northeast Baghdad to disrupt a terrorist cell that had been responsible for not only conducting attacks on Iraqi security forces and coalition forces but also in kidnapping Iraqi civilians in the local area.

 Increased coalition presence feeds the notion of occupation. It contributes to the dependency of Iraqi security forces on the coalition, ... It extends the amount of time that it will take for Iraqi security forces to become self-reliant. And it exposes more coalition forces to attacks.
