I've been to a gezegde

 I've been to a couple of places, but this isn't the first I've been back to Detroit in a while. I was here in our bye week. During the off-season, I'm here twice a month. This is my second home. There are a lot of people I went to school with, a lot of friends I have are still up here.

 I'm glad (the homecoming) is over, especially since we got a win. That's the most important thing. It was nice to see family and friends. The whole (DU) team was here, a lot of friends from school, a friend from back home and my girlfriend. So there were a lot of people here and it was a lot of fun.

 I was surrounded by these guys who were spies right after World War II, when they were paranoid at the Russians... I had school friends whose fathers I would see arrive home in uniform, and leave the next day in civilian clothes, and disappear for a month. Sometimes they would come home, and sometimes not.

 They are our ambassadors this week. They are two guys from Detroit. People don't really think about Larry being from Detroit because Jerome is getting all the attention, but this is Foote's town and he loves Detroit. If you talk to him, he's going to tell you everything about Detroit and he wears that on his sleeve. He has a lot of pride and he loves this city.

 I love playing Michigan, I'm really excited that we begin the tour in Detroit. It's one of those places where we know the kids like the back of our hands and they know us -- it's like home.

 Despite the hurricane, we believe that the back-to-school season could be one of the best in years with particularly strong sales in the month of September, especially later in the month when weather is expected to be especially favorable.

 Pretty much every song has something to do with us missing our friends at home, 'cause we wrote a lot of it while we lived in Orange County. 'Sidewalks' is a lot about our friends back home in St. Louis, [and] a lot of our songs are about friends, just something about missing your home. I don't know. We're not too mad about anything. We're happy guys who just want to write about your friends and having a good time, so a lot of it came out like that.

 We've just gone to two places and got beat pretty badly. We go back home, the last time we were at home we played a great game. We're one game away from a regular-season winning season, and that's something we haven't done (since 2002). We get the opportunity to do that Saturday.

 [Carter was placed on the injured list by the Raptors after injuring his heel Dec. 9 in a loss at Detroit. He was eligible to return for New Jersey's contest Tuesday at Charlotte, but Thorn said the Nets don't want to take any chances. New Jersey also plays at home Wednesday against Cleveland, and then has four days off before resuming the season Dec. 27 at Detroit.] He sat out his five games but there is still a little inflammation, ... We only have the two games this week, and then we're off [for awhile] so it makes sense to give him some rest now. We want to make sure it's not chronic.

 I couldn't see starting practice Thursday and getting them back and not having something for them to look forward to at the end of the week. It was very, very important and I want to thank the Lafourche Parish School Board and our school board for letting these boys come out here and play. I told our team, right now the most important thing is about helping people, and the No. 1 thing we can do is, for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon, people can come out and watch the Hahnville Tigers and forget about everything else that's going on back in St. Charles Parish.

 It's been busy. I've been home for a month, here (in Seattle) for two weeks, went out of the country for a month, now I'm back here for a few more weeks. Now I'm just getting ready for school to start. We're doing some conditioning. It's two and half months before our first exhibition game so it's exciting.

 It looks like it was cracked in a couple places. It's a big loss if we lose him. Hopefully we can get him back next week. We'll need him.

 It's a great city. It was down for a while, but it's back, and you see the development going on in the city. There's a sense of ownership in the city. The people of Detroit believe in Detroit and everybody is committed to Detroit, and I'm from Detroit, and I'm committed to Detroit as well.
