 I agree with Nino that the PSC is understaffed but the fact is people are using more power and the lines need to go somewhere.

 There were numerous counts of lines down and trees into power lines during the weekend. When an entire pole comes down, especially one with this many lines on it, it becomes a multifaceted job that runs into a lot of time.  We are going to lose all of our natural gas lines, all of our water lines, many of our power lines, most of our transportation systems. We are going to have a disruption to our infrastructure in a way that is going to take months to recover from.

 The simple fact is that it's very dangerous, especially at night because low hanging power lines are hard to see,

 What has really helped the quarter is very good sales because of El Nino. El Nino, is blamed for many things, but this time it can take credit for the boost in sales.

 The Board of Architectural Review is very concerned with preserving the essence of Old Town and other historic areas, yet here comes Virginia Power destroying one of our most precious assets, the natural beauty of our tree lines streets. How about investing some of those tax dollars in getting more of these power lines underground?

 These are people with real power. We need to celebrate the fact that these people are where they are rather than make personal attacks against them as if they're slaves. We should always want to be in positions of power, no matter who the president is.

 We thought at the time that it was linked to the fact that it was an El Nino year, but we've seen it every year since then. It's a big mystery.

 We are absolutely happy to have conversations with people about that (burying lines), however, we can all agree that it's appropriate for the customers who benefit from such a conversion to handle the expense.  If the lines are down, the first thing we will have to do is repair the lines. Once the lines are back, usually what we do is sectionalize it - we break out the different sections and try to put as many people on as possible.

 My lawyer is going to court, and that's basically where it is now. My take, and I hope the people in power agree, is that we should stay.
