 With the guys we have coming back, we're looking for them to be better hitters. Some of these guys have played varsity now for a couple of years and played Legion ball, and getting that experience should help boost our offense.

 I played junior varsity for a couple of years, ... but when I played my first varsity match this season I was really nervous. It's fun. I love golf and it's nice being out on the course with the guys. But in tennis, you're more active and I like being active. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. I try to hustle.

 A lot of these guys have played varsity for a couple of years. They have been in these situations before.

 We're going to carry 13 on the varsity roster, with a couple guys we'll move up and down. A lot of this team is coming back. The last two years, we've only lost two starters, and a lot of the kids we still have are playing a lot of ball in the summer. So far, so good for us. And we'll see how everything works out.

 They beat us pretty soundly. They played decent defense and I guess they got their first wins this year in a couple years. We aren't locating the ball very well pitching-wise right now. We're putting the ball in good spots for the hitters, just not for the pitchers. We're not getting it done there -- we're working hard, all the guys are. We're just having trouble locating.

 Some of those guys played two or three years, ... We average about four or five guys on offense back a year. You have to pick it up and move on. Hopefully our program can replace them.

 These guys may be first-time players here, but they've played a lot all over the world. They come off the NIKE Tour and the European Tour, and they're tough. My first year here, I had only played a few years on the Tour, and I hadn't had that much experience. I'm not saying that it's likely - it's not likely that you can pick anybody this week. There are some guys playing well coming in, but it's hard to pick.''

 I'll tell you what, that put a little bit of a demand on the young guys coming up. You're taking BP with those guys — they were unbelievable. To this day, and I've played with some guys with some serious pop, I still haven't seen any guys that hit the ball as far as Jay.

 It was kind of weird, coming back to the place you called home for eight years, spending your whole career, and seeing the guys you played with. Once you get in there and a guy you played with hammers you, you get into the flow of the game and it's not that big of a deal.

 We think we will really be solid in the infield. Now in the outfield, we've got some new guys, we've got some young guys and we'll see. But we're bringing back three guys (in the infield) who've played there for three years and a guy who's a junior-college transfer who has experience at the college level.

 We have a couple of guys who played junior varsity basketball who have come out to practices and we go against them every day and it helps.

 Leonard can make big plays; he's already shown that ... The biggest thing about this team is they have talent and experience on offense.These guys are all seniors and most of them have played for two or three years.

 Hey, we have a lot of guys back. And we can't run guys out of here. They love going to bowl games and getting those gifts. But I am approaching it the same. I am anxious to see how much better our guys can get. Everybody that we played (in the Big East) had a young team last year. We played pretty well, but there are always areas to improve.

 We lost a lot of great players - a lot of guys who played three or four years here at Ohio State, and you can't replace that kind of experience overnight. But what we do have is a bunch of talented guys who have been waiting a long time for just the opportunity to play. Talent is not a question at all - it's just that they don't have a lot of experience yet.

 You've got to give Boston College a lot of credit. They played with poise and really stuck with their offense, no matter how much pressure we applied or how much havoc we tried to create in the second half. Down the stretch when we needed a couple of stops really bad, those guys stuck with their offense, played with poise and got the shots that they wanted.
