In five days we managed to demolish five houses, mostly one level with five or six rooms, down to the studs, which we then sprayed with bleach. The piles of debris were amazing.

 Just because you don't have debris today doesn't necessarily mean you're not going to have debris coming down from upstream another day. We'll just keep double-checking until the storm hits.

 Sanitation and the maintenance did an excellent job on debris removal. I would say that one of the things that the city really excelled in was getting the streets cleaned, the debris cleaned. I think the city departments that handled that did an excellent job.

 It must be frustrating, because you've got six months now since the storm, and a number of the schools obviously have not been touched since the storm. And they're full of debris and exposed to the weather. It's really heartbreaking.
