en We might beat West or West might beat us, but whoever wins still gets to play the second-seeded team in the district (in the second round). (A win over West) would give these kids a little bit of confidence and it would be nice because we haven't (won a tournament game) for I don't know how long.

en I was pleased with the fourth-place finish. Alan had the best finish of any runners we've had at this meet. All of the teams ahead of us are quality teams. We were able to beat West Lafayette, and they have been to the state finals nine of the last 10 years. It was the first time we have beaten them.

en After the meeting, I watched TV and saw all these ads, with cars on top of mountain peaks and fantastic vistas of the American West. It's like the cigarette ads that use sex to sell. All the average person does with an SUV is commute to work or the store. They're creating a market they claim the public is demanding.

en When you lose a game the way we did, one you thought you should have won but didn't, it only adds to the hurt. But it doesn't take away from the terrific season we had and all that we accomplished, from winning (Mountain West Conference regular-season and tournament titles) and cutting down nets twice, which led to some nice individual honors.

en We've got to finish strong, because of the strength of schedule, and 17 and 18 wins gets us in the tournament. The committee needs to treat [the MWC] like some of the bigger conferences and make sure we get some teams in the tournament. This has been one of the strongest years in the Mountain West Conference's history.

en Instead, it will be an upscale mountain lodge, a contemporary legacy of the great mountain lodges originally built in the West at the turn of the 20th century.

en It was great for both of them to finish up what they started. They both had this goal all season long and it was fantastic to see it all come together this week.

en He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible. We didn't finish the regular season too bad, we ended up No. 2 in the West.

en We're going to reach all four corners of the country. We're going to be able to follow Mountain West sports the way no one else has been able to follow Mountain West sports before.

en I am the lone representative from the Mountain West that votes for the women's top 25 teams and I have been voting for Wyoming. The week they beat BYU on the road and New Mexico at home is the best week that any team in the MWC has had this year.

en It's not huge. I mean, it's a goal of ours to win the first game . . . and win the Mountain West Conference. But it's not a make-or-break-your-season type of a game.
