Kyle's another one of gezegde

 Kyle's another one of those guys that's out to prove you wrong. You can't question how hard he wrestles. When he gets done with a match you always know he's gave it his all.

 We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

 This was a good match for Kyle. We knew it was going to be a tough one. Kyle gave up the takedown early but he wrestled tough after that. He's focused. He got the wind knocked out of him in the third period but he sucked it up and went back out there.

 Zach controlled the match. That's they way he wrestles. He can shut down guys that have big offenses.

 I've taken criticism from the first day. It's been hard this year, no question. The incident with Kyle shocked us. But we're not recruiting with a win-at-all-costs attitude. I think what has happened this year with us is some guys are making decisions without thinking about the team.

 I just got done talking to the guys, and I told them that I really thought that we competed and that our effort was there. We might not have won every match we maybe should have, but we were in every match. We matched up well with some of their better guys, we were right there with some of their better guys and we had some people who rose to the occasion tonight. That's what we're looking for. We're looking for our guys to come out and compete hard every night.

 Kyle and Joe gave us nice production at both ends of the floor, which is big when you get it off your bench. If they can continue to give us minutes like they have been, we're going to be tough to match up against.

 Every year, he's improved nicely. This was a good match for him. The final will be tough, but those two wrestle the same way -- hard nosed. It will come down to whoever wrestles harder nosed.

 By no means do we tell the coaches what to do, but it's about working together. It's the relationship. We sat Coach Dorrell down and gave him ideas, and he sat us down and gave us his thoughts. It's sort of a win-win situation if you take it the right way. Guys can take it the wrong way. Coach can take it the wrong way. You have to be careful with how you do it.

 We hustled hard and played hard. We wanted it bad. We wanted to prove people wrong. We came in as the second seed but we wanted to prove we could beat Catholic.

 Jesse Wood is not quite 100 percent, and he goes out and wrestles a smaller guy and he gets the pin. And Logan Hayman, a freshman going out there and getting a pin in the last match is great. I'm just really proud, considering that we only had eight days of training heading into tonight, that we went out and competed as hard as we did. We've got a lot of work to do, but I'm happy with our effort.

 Kyle just crowded me into the wall there. But no hard feelings. I'll just chalk it up to hard racing. Anyway, I talked with Kyle after the race. Everything's settled, we're on good terms, and I got his dad's autograph.

 It hurt him a lot not taking part in the last test match so he will be pretty keen to prove everybody wrong.

 He saw in the paper where I said some of our kids with better records were the top threats to win titles for us and he was upset I didn't mention his name. He said, 'You don't think I can win this tournament? I'm gonna prove you wrong.' I said, 'I hope you do prove me wrong.' And he did.

 If he and Mike came, we wouldn't be able to get Kyle (Lowry). If we didn't get Mike and got (Shakur), we probably could get Kyle. Players like playing with good players. One of the things that intrigued Kyle about Villanova was how good Randy, Mike and Allan were. When he came and played with them I think he was impressed. Sometimes some of these guys like being around other real good players and I think that's what happened in Kyle's case.
