 We knew going in they played good defense. They've held some teams down, so we decided to press to try to get that offensive spark.

 Everybody's giving their line crap now. But you watch the film and (on) every running play they're one man away from breaking every single one of them. They're good now but they played bad last week. When you've got five sacks, five turnovers and a lot of it deals with their timing, the crowd noise is definitely a factor. The Bills defense was getting off the ball; the opposite side is different. They just played bad, but they're a good football team. Their defense is good; they ended up strong last year.  The fans and everybody wants to see big offensive plays. But it was kind of good the defenses on both teams played well. To go out there and close it out on defense for the NFC was big for us.

 Both teams were patient on offense but I thought we played good defense. We had trouble with the press in the second half and that magnified things.

 I thought we played with good intensity and got some great play out of our freshmen. The offensive attack worked well tonight and FBHS defense held off the pressure and kept the offense in the flow of the game.

 His all-around game has been especially good. That's why he's warranted more ice time, because he's played solid at both ends of the ice. I thought he was capable of playing good defense because he's a smart player. When you grow up in Russia, you learn to play defense, even if you are an offensive player. We knew he was capable of it.

 That crowd was terrific. I don't know if we could have won the game without them. And I know there were people who couldn't come, sitting home by their radios, and they helped us, too. SMU is one of the top four teams in the conference and I'm glad we've got them out of the way. Our defense was key. Our defense is something we work hard on and something the kids have bought into. We also held them (the Mustangs) to only seven offensive rebounds. Doing that to a team like that is big.

 We knew we had to press up and play good defense. Good defense turns into good offense. We take pride in playing good defense.

 We really prepare to stop people. We are really committed to doing it. We have played against good offensive teams and shut them down. You have to respect the talent that is at West Virginia, and their ability to find weaknesses in our defense.

 I was real happy with how the our first group performed. They went right at (Dunbar). We took advantage of everything they gave us, moved the ball on offense, held them on defense, played good special teams and had a great kicking game.

 We learned from our mistakes in the game against Sweden, where we played poorly. We knew Russia had good, quality offensive players, and the only way for us to have success was to play good defense and not give them space. It's a great success for us to win the bronze.
