 I'm always juggling 20 things at one time. I look forward to being on the field with the guys. I look at it as a break. I get out of the office and get away from the phone. I go out there and coach football for two hours a day, which is what I truly love.

 Coach Adams has a first-hand understanding of our football tradition and a wonderful vision for what is possible going forward. There have been a lot of positives within the football program over the past seven months and we are looking forward to seeing these play out as success on the field.

 The stars in this league -- Kobe, Shaq, McGrady, all of these guys -- carry so much weight with their team that if a particular guy sustains an injury, it's going to take some juggling. Some big-time juggling.

 Obviously they're a special tandem. I love having those guys around. You know what you're going to get every time you step on the football field and you can't ask for more than that.

 I broke camp and I went to his first high school football game, ... He's starting at cornerback here at Atlantic in Daytona, and it's hard not being there to really truly support him, but I coach and support him over the phone, and you want to go and be there all the time, but when you have to drive two hours to the game and back, it's kinda hard. Once this fight is over, then I can start showing up and being supportive. But he knows that I wish I could be there.

 I think he's looking forward to this next journey, which all football coaches go through. It's that time of the year, and as a football coach you always have to say your next job is going to be your best job.

 I really love my job, but juggling strange hours with two children is a bit like being a hamster on a wheel. A very tired hamster.

 The only thing we have outside our city is our home football team. It makes me want to break down and cry because people are working so hard to take things off our mind for just a few hours. You wonder what you did to deserve it.

 A few things conspired against me. The club (Lierse) got a new coach and I got a knee injury that sidelined me for some time. It put me back and by the time I returned, the coach was not interested in me any more. That's how it goes in professional football.

 One of the saddest things is that the only thing that a man can do for eight hours a day, day after day, is work. You can't eat eight hours a day nor drink for eight hours a day nor make love for eight hours -- all you can do for eight hours is work. Which is the reason why man makes himself and everybody else so miserable and unhappy.

 A lot of the calls come from shelters where applicants just pass the phone along to the next person in line without hanging up. They're just so relieved to finally reach someone who can help them. Some of the calls involving multiple claims can last several hours - and our folks end up handing the phone off to each other just to take a break.

 Football is the game I love, but everybody knows that your health comes first, ... In a way, it's been a blessing. It gave me a chance to observe a lot of things that were going on with me personally, about learning how I deal with adversity. And it gave me time to think about my future beyond football. Usually, when football season's going on, it's all about football.

 We've got to get some guys in here that love football, veteran guys that love football. All these young heads – we need some guys that just love football.

 It's no different than a football coach. By the time they take the field, it's kind of out of your hands.

 If he sees guys are down or if he sees we're having a sluggish practice, he's the first guy clapping his hands and talking loud and trying to get everybody up. He has so much respect that everybody listens to him. During the game, he's patting cats on the head and trying to keep guys up. He's real quiet outside of football, but when it's football time, he's the ideal player a coach wants to have.
